Welcome to the Oban and Lorn RDA Group
|
Our Group,
which was setup in 1998, is dedicated to improving the
lives of people with disabilities, through the provision
of opportunities for
horse
riding
and other equestrian related activities.
As part of
the national federation of RDA Member Groups, we strive to enable both children and adults to
improve their health and wellbeing, through delivering a
real and lasting therapy that not only benefits mobility
and co-ordination, but encourages the development of
personal confidence and self worth whilst having
FUN! |

Group
Headquarters and Facilities
|
Our Group
is based within the grounds of Achnalarig Farm Stables,
Glencruitten Road, Oban. We have our own Office, with an
Administrator who handles our group telephone calls and
organises our activities and riding lessons.
For our
riding lessons we hire horses from the Stable Manager
and have the use of an all weather outdoor riding arena,
and as we are based in a quite rural location,
surrounded by beautiful Argyllshire countryside, we can
also ride out. |

Riding is
available from Monday to Friday most weeks of the year,
no matter what the weather!
